Features

The non-floating POP QUEEN
Spreading whitewater creates ideal feeding conditions for Blackfin seabass, but heavy wind, rough waves, and strong currents often force traditional surface lures to skip or fly out of the water. The POP QUEEN S80/S105 is tuned with a sinking specification while retaining the explosive appeal of the original. Even in heavy surf, it grips the water reliably—generating enticing splash, bubbles, and a sub-surface swimming action that stays in the strike zone. Its stable flight posture cuts through head winds and choppy wash for maximum casting distance into targeted slots. With a fast dog-walk or sub-surface S-action, it triggers reaction bites even from sluggish fish.
Why it is "sinking" even though it is a topwater lure
In Blackfin seabass fishing on rocky shores, stormy weather with spreading white water creates prime conditions. However, mis-actions frequently occur as waves and strong winds cause the lure to easily jump out of the water, making it impossible to present as desired.
By intentionally giving this model a high specific gravity sinking specification, the lure itself bites the waves and sticks firmly to the rough water surface. It is a "top water for Blackfin seabass" that drags fish out without jumping out of the water surface even on rough days when top water cannot be used.
Overwhelming casting distance that tears through stormy weather
Rough rocky shores, where strong winds howl, are the true foundation of the Blackfin seabass game.
The high dead weight unique to sinking makes a bullet cast that tears through the wind possible, allowing you to accurately shoot the lure into the targeted pin spot even in stormy weather.
"Draft" that improves the hooking rate
Unlike floating models that float on the water surface, it performs action in a posture where most of the body is submerged under the water surface.
Because it sticks deeply to the water surface, when a Blackfin seabass attacks, the lure is not repelled at the water surface and is easily and smoothly sucked into its mouth.

Versatility to handle pelagic fish
It is effective not only for Blackfin seabass, but also for pelagic species such as yellowtail, bonito, and mahi-mahi. In addition to the basic dog-walk action, a high-speed retrieve with the rod tip lowered creates a bubble-cloaked S-shaped swimming action just beneath the surface. If a pelagic feeding frenzy breaks out while targeting Blackfin seabass, you can target them instantly without swapping lures.
Specifications
Basic Action: dog walk
This is a technique to make the lure perform a side-to-side head-shaking movement (slide action) on the water surface.
It is operated by rhythmically shaking the rod tip in small motions.
Because the travel distance can be suppressed compared to straight "steady reeling", the lure can be kept for a long time in pin spots such as over submerged rocks (shimori) or narrow Sarashi, acting as a panicked and fleeing small fish.
Even during low activity, it forcibly turns on the feeding switch and induces a reaction bite.
Recommended Tackle
Dedicated weight tuning has been applied so that it can be cast comfortably with general Blackfin seabass tackle.
Recommended tackle guide
Rod: 10 to 11 ft class (MH to H)
Reel: Spinning 4000 to 5000 size
Line: PE 1.5 to 2.0 / Leader: Nylon 30 to 40lb
Role by Size
The suppressing "S80 (19g)": Bite-inducing / Micro bait support
Overcomes the weakness of small top waters, "too light and hard to throw," with a +5g weight up.
It plays an active role as a follow bait that makes the fish use its mouth without causing caution in severe situations or when the bait is small.
The starting "S105 (30g)": Wide-range search / High appeal
A best match setting that can put the weight firmly on a tough rod of MH to H class.
The "strong water pushing" and "long-casting performance" created by the large body let a wide range of fish find the lure even in waves and wind.
