Features

What is TAGURIG?

To explore a wide range of depths, squid rigs are typically long, and retrieving them requires the action of “taguru” (hand-lining).
Since this rig uses artificial lures, it is considered a type of "rig," hence the name "TAGURIG."

 

What is a Direct-Branch Rig (Jikabura Rig)?

It is a type of rig featuring very short branch lines of about 1 cm.
Merits:
・The squid jig is positioned close to the main line, allowing it to dance easily when performing a rod tapping action (Tataki).
・Because the branch lines are short, it is much easier to feel subtle bites compared to standard branching rigs (which typically have 10 cm branches).
・Compared to direct-connection rigs, squids are much less likely to come unhooked.
For these reasons, it is the optimal choice for beginners targeting Maruika, a species known for its small size, delicate bites, and tendency to easily unhook.

 

Twisted Loop Direct-Branch System:

We adopted a special "Twisted Loop Direct-Branch" where the squid jig is inserted directly into the twisted loop of the main line.
This prevents the jig and the main line from tangling during tapping actions, ensuring a trouble-free Maruika fishing experience.
 

Reversible Top & Bottom Safety Snaps:

You can increase your catch rate by reversing the top and bottom of the rig depending on the fishing conditions!
